These hibiscus flowers are packed with antioxidants and have anti-inflammatory and immune-boosting properties. Depending on how much you use, the petals will turn your brew a gorgeous shade of vivid red all the way to a deep purple. Hibiscus is one of our favorite flavors to add to kombucha, it's slightly floral but not overpowering.

How Much Do I Use? Use 1 teaspoon per 16 oz of kombucha

How Do I Use Them? 1) Drop buds straight into a second fermentation bottle or growler 2) Make into a simple syrup and add to second fermentation 3) Steep and concentrate into a tea, allow to cool, add to your second fermentation

You can also use hibiscus in the first fermentation by steeping alongside your usual caffeinated teas (black, green or oolong) and proceed with the standard kombucha brewing process. Hibiscus tea is not dangerous to the SCOBY. Remember, when brewing kombucha with hibiscus, it must always be used in tandem with caffeinated teas for your kombucha to ferment properly

What’s A Good Pairing? Try with strawberry, cucumber, blueberry, rosehips, or ginger
